Dear Esperero Canyon Parents,
We had another wonderful week of learning and discovery on campus, with students across all grade levels engaging in exciting hands-on activities and complex problem-solving in science and math. Lots of scientific learning is indeed happening!
Science Highlights:
- 7th Grade Science: Our 7th graders dove into the world of robotics! They have been working with Ms. Hall to code their robots to independently drive in certain directions . This activity reinforces logical thinking, problem-solving, and the practical applications of computer science.
- 6th Grade Science: 6th graders with Ms. Hall, became global climate analysts! They worked on creating and analyzing graphs that compared and contrasted temperatures and daylight hours from different locations around the world. This helped them visualize and understand global climate patterns.
- 8th Grade Science: Our 8th grade scientists explored biodiversity and adaptation. Students examined the patterns in different species of penguins , looking at their physical traits and habitats to understand evolutionary relationships and natural selection.
Mathematics Focus
- Geometry: Our Geometry students are building a strong foundation in formal logic. They have been focused on proving their proofs, a key skill that teaches rigorous, step-by-step reasoning.
- 7th Grade Math: The 7th graders have really got a handle on slope this week! They explored how to calculate and interpret the steepness of a line, including watching the memorable and helpful video, "Slope Dude".
We are so proud of the curiosity and dedication our students bring to their studies every day.
We hope you have a restful weekend and as a reminder, next week is only 4 days. Thank you Veterans for your service.
Sincerely,
Stacey Gist
Principal

Thank you for your support!

Let’s Celebrate the Class of 2026!
We Need Your Support! The FFO is excited to assist the ECMS Administration to help plan a number of promotion festivities to honor our students' hard work and success. To make these celebrations memorable, we are asking each family to contribute to the promotion expenses. A donation of $40 per 8th grade student is suggested, but any amount you can offer will be greatly appreciated and will directly support the events.
How You Can Help:
Donation of $40 per student helps cover ceremony expenses, promotion party, dinner, entertainment, and an ice cream social.
Payment Options:
NOTE: “8th Grade Promotion & student’s name.”
Additional Contributions: Because not all families have the financial ability to contribute, consider helping our efforts by contributing an additional amount.
Additional contributions of any amount are welcome.
